F.A.C.T is a voluntary support group for fathers who
experience personal difficulties following the breakup
of their relationship. Primary issues of concern may
be parental relationship with your children, legal
guardianship, maintenance contribution and custody.
F.A.C.T
believes that parenting is a sharedresponsibility between both parents. By working together
we will lobby for change in our legal system to create an
equal and fair approach in recognizing a father’s positive
role in their children’s lives.
F.A.C.T
provides support to help fathers with childrenwhen parental separation denies fathers and children
the time they desire together, to help cope with the court
system and to encourage parental co-operation.
Participation in the group benefits fathers by giving
them access to the latest information regarding issues
following separation. Benefit will also be gained through
the experiences of other fathers who have gone through
similar situations and the opportunity to advocate for
changes in how society views parenting time (access),
custody, and other support issues.
F.A.C.T
encourages unmarried and separatedfathers to seek mediation and to work together in an
environment of respect promoting active parenting.
